Ruusu Open Mic 24.02.2019

Helsinki Poetry Connection presents again its familiar, time-honored open stage concept – Ruusu Open Mic!

All poets, songwriters, rappers, and performers of all stripes are welcome to join likeminded souls in an evening of verbal revelry at Sörkan Ruusu (Pääskylänrinne 3) on Sunday, December 16th at 5 pm. No sign-up required in advance. You can also hook up your instrument or beats to our sound system (bring your own guitar cord).

Please notice! Each performer is allotted 5 minutes to express themselves. One or two poems performed with calmness offer more for the audience than seven in a rush.

February’s Ruusu Open Mic will feature warm-up acts by Stina Saari and Lauri Vanhala.

Ruusu Open Mic, like all Helsinki Poetry Connection’s events is free from any discrimination. We don’t accept any racist or hateful content or behaviour.

Notes: Unfortunately, Sörkan Ruusu is non-accessible. At the main entrance ~ 20cm step and door ~ 60cm wide, side door ~ 20cm step and door ~ 55cm wide, no ramps.
