Rondo Open Mic invites all friends of poetry to a new club in the heart of Viikki! Welcome to a club filled with lyricists, the mic is warmed up by Raakasaga and Yavis. Be your style spoken or written word, rap, street poetry or something totally else, from this club you will find a place for it and yourself.

The open mic starts after the warm-up shows. You can perform your poetry, rap, song lyrics, thoughts, a joke — the most important thing is that it is written by you. Each performer has 5 minutes on stage. It is possible to play i.e. beats on the background from phone or other device. We book a few open mic spots in advance, send email to juhokuusi@hotmail.com (put “Rondo Open Mic” in the header) and you can of course register at the spot to the hosts during the event.

The event is produced and hosted by Saartu Gada and Juho Kuusi.

Ruusu Open Mic #50!!!

We warmly welcome you to come enjoy poetry and other forms of literary art to Restaurant Sörkan Ruusu on 26.11.2023, at 17-20.
This time we have two lovely warm-up poets: Julian Owusu and Fanni Oksanen.
After the two incredible performances the stage is yours: once again it’s time for open mic!You can sign up for the open mic after the performances. You’re welcome to perform your text, song or other performance in any language you wish. It’s possible to connect your instrument or phone etc. in the sound system, if that’s what your performance needs. Time limit for every open mic performance is 4 minutes, so everyone has a chance to perform.

The main entrance of Sörkan Ruusu has a ~ 20cm step and door 81cm wide. There is a ramp that can be installed when asked to. There is one accessible wc, and all wc’s are gender neutral. There is an induction loop available at the venue.
